Homeland Security National Training Program (HSNTP)

The HSNTP supports the development and delivery of training that furthers national preparedness by addressing national preparedness gaps, correlating training needs with exercise activities and outcomes, incorporating the core capabilities identified in the National Preparedness Goal, and ensuring training is available and accessible to a nationwide audience. Training under the HSNTP is provided to state, local, territorial, and tribal participants at no cost. The HSNTP is administered by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Preparedness Directorate (NPD), National Training and Education Division (NTED).

As a founding member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC), LSU NCBRT/ACE serves as a DHS/FEMA training partner and provides DHS/FEMA certified training to emergency responders under the HSNTP. The NDPC is a partnership of public and private organizations, the majority academic, committed to serving emergency first responders by providing quality, cost-effective counter-terrorism training.
